The Story
A curse has befallen the land in a rain of ash and snow. The sleeping giant of Yellowstone has erupted with enough force to send nearly half the population of the United States fleeing for the coasts. Though many fled, many died as well, buried in coats of soot, drowned in a grey poison. Still the Earth turns, and the winds have spread Yellowstone's Fury not only across the bantered States, but out farther amongst the blue world. The Fury was Yellowstone's second outlash against mankind; an unhindered virus, finally free from its carbon caverns, claiming the weak, the born, and the dying. It took several years before Man was able to develope an anti-virus, and decades more before that too turned against them.Jaene is part of the last generation who received the anti-virus at birth, taking life when her mother died. On the streets of District 15 she runs and she hunts, surviving in the shadows of the New Age. Walls surround the city, keeping its people isolated from the world; they say the walls protect them from the cold and The Fury, but the greater threat lies within.
